Baby’s Second Birthday!

WOW! two years have flown by already, and my precious little bundle of joy has grown into a rambunctious toddler. We just celebrated Anneliese’s second birthday, but it was a little bitter sweet for me. Not only is my baby no longer a baby, but we are far away from our family too. Our families were sweet by calling Anneliese to wish her a Happy Birthday and sent plenty of gifts.

She loves her teddy bears (and the white one sings “Happy Birthday” to her.)

The expression on my baby’s face is priceless! She loved opening her gifts.

Thanks to our family in Colorado!

Since it was just the three of us celebrating my baby’s birthday, we had a low-key party. We ordered pizza and made birthday sprinkle cookies. Then, we opened up the many boxes of gifts that were sent to Anneliese from family all across the “lower 48.” It was actually very nice and relaxing. Although, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t plan something extra special.

Thanks to our family in Alabama! Anneliese had a blast opening up all of her gifts.

Gold Sparkle Shoes! She just had to try them on immediately.

Tons of fun toys to clutter up the house – YAY!

Anneliese is so sweet to her baby doll! She likes to make it go potty on the little potty chair that came with it too.
Last year, for my baby’s first birthday, we had a big family party and went all out with the princess theme. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work. We had our own little party at home then a Skype party with my family for a combination birthday party (it was my mom’s birthday too.) Since I am working this year, having a small party while spending time together as a family was just the right thing. Anneliese sure didn’t mind!

Anneliese looks like an adorable little lady in her new birthday outfit.

Anneliese is ready to begin her Skype Birthday party. Too cute!
Did you go all out for your baby’s second birthday? Was the party bigger or smaller than the first birthday? I would love to know!
