Now that my baby has grown out of her toddler years to become a preschooler, I’ve found the theme for My Baby Experience has become about children instead of babies. (Also, I talk a lot about our new community.) I have enjoyed learning and growing into my parenting role, and I continue to do so.
I have found a new theme that is more responsive and better all around. My new website is titled Parenting Papers, because that is exactly what it is all about. It is a whitepapers website for parenting. I continue my personal blog through the Parenting Papers, but I encourage other parents to contribute their “two cents” so we can have a plethora of ideas, advice, funny stories, etc.
I hope you continue to enjoy my ramblings on the new site and I hope you feel inspired to add your own thoughts from time to time. Please do not hesitate to tell me what you think. Parenting takes teamwork, and we can all benefit from an outside point-of-view.
Parenting Papers- for all things parenting, a community driven whitepapers resource and shared inspirational outlet for this crazy life adventure called PARENTING.
It’s hard to argue with toddler logic, especially when they are being so cute. My daughter is trying to explain why she is being picky and will not eat her food. Although she has her moments of pickiness, she is usually pretty good about eating what is given to her. This is due in part to my introduction to “Copy Kids” when Anneliese was younger. Also, growing a garden with her from the time she was a little baby, helped her to see where her food came from and encouraged her to try new things. If she helps cook something she is much more likely to eat it.

About a month ago, I walked into the bathroom and found my adorable little girl sitting on the bathroom counter with lip gloss smeared all around her lips. She had apparently found my makeup bag and decided to put lipstick on just like Mommy. I was able to get her confession and explanation on video (listening to toddlers explain their motives can be a lot of fun.) It was so cute and she was adorable- I couldn’t get upset about it!

Life with a toddler is so crazy. I am amazed by all that she is learning and stressed by her temperamental outbursts. It is both scary and sweet when she starts copying everything that I do. Life is getting more complicated as we decide about preschool and playdates, while trying to break our own bad habits so she doesn’t pick them up. At the same time, we have to take her toddler tantrums and extreme energy one day at a time. It is exhausting but this time is precious.

Toddlers seem to have only two modes; either you can’t keep up with them or you can’t keep they awake. There is something about seeing a sleeping child that makes everyone smile- toddlers and babies look so precious when they are sleeping. I love to watch Anneliese sleep but watching her try to stay awake can be fun too. I think this video of my toddler trying to stay awake while eating is hilarious.
